Cervical Traction Posture Pump 1000
A Neck Stretcher to get relief of neck pain and improve posture
The Cervical Traction Posture Pump 1000 is the perfect neck traction unit to help you improve posture and get the proper cervical lordosis in your neck
The Cervical Traction POSTURE PUMP 1000 is a huge breakthrough for those people who suffer from being in positions that are not comfortable. These uncomfortable postions cause muscle stiffness, tension and neck fatigue. These body positions force the spine out of its natural shape, causing abnormal joint movement and loss of joint lubrication. Particularly in the Cervical spine, which should have a "c" curve in it. When joints are dry, they wear unevenly, age faster and create stiffness and discomfort. Spending just minutes on the Cervical Traction POSTURE PUMP 1000 allows you to shape and lubricate the neck and back. A great defense against aging.
Commonly asked Questions about our Cervical Traction Posture Pump
Who does the Cervical Traction Posture Pump Benefit?
Anyone who works on the computer for long periods. These people carry a forward Head Carriage which puts a lot of pressure on the cervical spine. It is the the most common cause of neck and upper back fatigue and tension. It is for anyone who drives a great deal and has to deal with the stress of driving for long periods. Also for anyone who is constantly in a Forward-Flexed Position. These foward flexed head postions force the natural curve out of the neck and promote poor posture. Side-Flexed Neck Positions also can cause stiffness and mucle spasms. Especially when you fall asleep on the couch or in an awkward positiong while sleeping. Finally, for any person who spends a lot of time on the telephone.
How does the Cervical Traction Posture Pump Work?
The Cervical Traction Posture Pump carefully lifts and separates the neck and back joints in a unique way. Traction, hanging devices, massage units, vibrators, special pillows and regular exercise cannot. Special expanding air cells angled into the spine activate the "bellows or sponge-like" function of the discs, producing a warm, relaxed feeling through the neck and back. Patented up and down motion reinforces the spine's natural "c" curve shape and promotes joint lubrication, joint nutrition, flexibility and the correct posture.
What is the procedure for using the Cervical Traction Posture Pump?
The Cervical Traction Posture Pump is designed to assist you in maintaining the mobility of your cervical vertebral joints, and to help you in maintaining the normal "c" curve of your cervical spine (Cervical lordosis). Read all instructions carefully when you receive your Cervical Traction Posture Pump. This procedure should never be more than uncomfortable...
- Be sure you are centered over the middle of the pad, and your neck is aligned straight over the fulcrum (pad).
- Place the chin strap and forehead strap in place.
- Pump the bladder up to tolerance.
- Pause for 5-10 seconds, and then release the pressure.
- Repeat as directed by the doctor. Do not exceed 25 repetitions.
When should I use the Cervical Traction Posture Pump?
Just like working oil into a rusty hinge, use Posture Pump after long periods of holding your head, neck and back in uncomfortable positions. Especially uncomfortable positions that cause neck tension, stiffness and discomfort. Many people use it just before bedtime to relieve head, neck and back discomfort, stiffness, stress and to fall asleep easier. Keep Posture Pump on your bed, night stand or a place where you can USE IT OFTEN. Take it with you on trips. Just minutes on Posture Pump / Back Attack will reinforce your neck's and back's NATURAL CURVED SHAPE and LUBRICATE THE JOINTS.
Is it normal to experience soreness and discomfort when I first use the Cervical Traction Posture Pump?
Yes. In the first week that you use the Cervical Traction Posture Pump, you may experience normal discomfort and soreness. This will happen as the natural shape of your neck and back is strengthened. As with any new exercise, THIS IS NORMAL. If you must, skip a few days, but STICK WITH IT! DON'T Give up! Picture your Cervical Traction Posture Pump/Back Attack as you would your toothbrush. Just as your toothbrush protects your teeth, let the Cervical Traction Posture Pump strengthen and lubricate your neck and back.
Why is having a forward head carriage so detrimental to your health?
Rene Cailliet, M.D., director of the department of physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Southern California has identified posture
as being the one of the most important factors in maintaining a youthful body. He discusses the effects of forward head syndrome in his book "Rejuvenation Strategy." (1987). He points to the following facts:
- Incorrect head positioning leads to improper spinal function.
- The head in forward posture can add up to 30 pounds of abnormal leverage on the cervical spine.
- Forward head posture results in loss of vital lung capacity. In fact, lung capacity is depleted by as much as 30 percent. Loss of lung capacity leads to heart and blood vascular problems.
- The entire gastrointestinal system is affected, particularly the large intestine. Loss of good bowel peristaltic function and evacuation is a common condition that comes with forward head posture and loss of spinal lordotic curves.
- Forward head posture causes an increase in discomfort and pain. Freedom of motion in the first four cervical vertebrae is a major source of stimuli that causes production of endorphins in production many otherwise non-painful sensations are experienced as pain.
- Forward head posture causes loss of healthy spine-body motion. The entire body becomes rigid as the range of motion lessens. Soon, one becomes hunched.
As Dr. Cailliet shows, it's important to restore the skull and cervical spine back to their normal position. Aside from the effect poor posture has on our visual appearance, Dr. Caillet lists four categories of functional loss it produces:
- Loss of vital capacity (breathing, oxygen distribution, circulation).
- Loss of proper function (digestion and other organ function).
- Loss of range of motion (as in reaching for things, turning your head to look behind you).
- An increase in discomfort and pain

Can you show me how the Cervical Traction Posture Pump can help me get the cervical curve back in my neck?
The best way to show patients how the cervical traction Posture Pump works is through an X-ray of the neck. The pictures you see below show you a patients' neck from the side (lateral cervical neck x-ray); they are facing to the right. The first X-Ray on the left shows Patient A in a neutral lateral position with a negative 8 degree buckle (reverse c curve) at the stress vertebra C-3/4 and 14mm of Anterior Head Translation. The X-Ray on the right shows the same patient INFLATED on the Posture Pump. The stress vertebra is now C-5, measuring a uniform 45 degree lordotic arc. Note that this dramatic 53 degree lordotic reinforcement is being accomplished with a mere 18 degree cephalad head tilt and only 10mm of Posterior head translation! A dramatic difference.
What happens when we lose the proper curvatures in our spine?
Loss of curvature in the neck spine is often referred to a loss of cervical lordosis or a "military neck". When this happens the discs in between the vertebrae become compressed, and the lubricating fluid that is supposed to act as a sponge, are not able to do their job properly. This can begin to cause aging prematurly in the form of stiff dry joints. When the spine is properly curved (see diagram below, first 3 pictures), nutrient-rich fluid is "imbibed" or drawn into the discs by their "sponge-like bellows action," promoting spinal balance and joint wearability. The Posture Pump Cervical traction unit
is one way to deal with this neck pain, back pain and stiffness.
Testimonials for the posture pump
"I've had problems w/ my neck for over 20 years and have been treated for loss of curvature. It is expensive, and also, controversial. u take a big chance putting your spine in someone else's hands, literally. This has allowed me to treat myself at home. relaxed, and at my own time and pace. After just a couple tx I noticed a difference, and am very pleased w/ the results I'm getting!"

Totally relieved my neck stiffness and pain- I found out about this contraption at a chiropractor's office, and it was one of the few things there that actually seemed to really work. So, I got one for my own personal use, and it's great. It looks totally goofy, but at least for me, when I get neck pain and stiffness, which happens to me only about twice a year, using this even once or twice totally relieves it."

"I first used the posture pump at a chiropractic office. I only used it 2 times per week and noticed an improvement in my posture. My head was more in line with my body instead of being forward. As a physical therapist, I think this pump is a good way to restore the normal curve we should have in our necks. I have used it with one patient at my office so far who had significant decrease in pain"
